Story
Villarrica Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine, offering hints of concentrated blackberry fruit mixed with a touch of chocolate. Soft tannins provide a long and persistent finish.
Enjoy on its own or pair with red meats, pasta dishes or mature hard cheeses
Being in the southern hemisphere, the grapes for Villaricca Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested in the middle of April before being brought to the winery. They were pressed lightly to get the best of the juice and maintaining the natural characteristics of the grapes juice and not allowing the bitterness of the seeds and skins to infiltrate the freshness of the juice. After a gentle pressing, they were cold-soaked for three days to allow the juice to develop in flavour before the fermentation took place. Every day of the fermentation there were 3 pump-overs daily. The fermentation occurred at 20-25 degrees.
The grapes were grown in the Valle Central on clay soils with some gravel with the vines being trellised using VSP
