Story
Primasole Primitivo, Puglia IGT is a an attractive ruby colour. Upfront there are aromas and flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and plum. In the background hints of vanilla and coffee from the 12-month barrel ageing. With a full-body, a small amount of detectable sweetness and delicately integrated tannins with a strong finish. Primasole Primitivo is versatile with its pairings, it goes with foods such as red meats to hard cheeses, but is also a vegan wine.
Cielo e Terra has a stronghold over the Veneto region of North-Eastern Italy. They have the history of the four generations of the Cielo family operating in the area and also some two thousand vinegrowers that contribute to the cooperative of Cantine dei Colli Berici.
The origins of this wine empire started in 1908 when, Giovanni Cielo, the founder purchases a small estate in Montorso, which overlooked the Castles of Romeo and Juliet. His son, Pietro, developed the wine business and ultimately saved the estate during the war. After the war, local vinegrowers established a cooperative, named the Cantine dei Colli Berici S.c.a, to protect the diversity of the local growing area. The third generation of the Cielo family took over in the 1960s. The central ethos of innovation and commitment has given the winery the reputation it upholds today.
