Story
Mas de Cadenet, ‘Nuit Blanche’ Rosé Jeroboam 2019 is the perfect summer wine! A refreshing, dry and fruity rosé. An attractive pale colour. On the nose, delicate scents of flowers. The mouth is elegant with a pleasant freshness on the finish. Serve chilled, poolside or around a summer bonfire in your garden.
The grapes for Mas de Cadenet, ‘Nuit Blanche’ Rosé Jeroboam 2019 is de-stemmed, crushed and then kept on skins. This is where that pale pink colour comes from, it also helps soften the acidity. Fermentation in stainless steel at a low temperature, aiding the fresh fruit aromatics. Finally, separate parcels are blended together and bottled.
From the Mas De Cadanet winery in Saint Victoire comes the Nuit Blanche Rosé and it is something seriously good.’sleepless nights’ is named after the fact they pick their grapes at night to avoid being scorched by the provence sun. Made by the Negrel family with Maud and Matthieu in charge, their grandfather set up the appelation which has grown to become one of the most famous and top producing rose region of Provence.
The sub-region is considered a continental climate rather than the Mediterranean. Climate has hot and dry summers with mild winters. Plenty of rainfall in Autumn and Spring with lots of sunshine throughout summer. The soil is poor but well-drained favouring low yield but intense fruit profile and structured wines. Pristine pale pink hue with fresh flowers, fresh strawberries bouquet. The palate is crisp, dry and fruit-forward. Complex throughout, perfectly balanced and delicate, this wine is a real banger. Varieties are picked separately and early in the morning to keep the grapes cool, this helps the winemaking process.
