Story
Eschenhof Holzer Invader Müller-Thurgau 2019 is cloudy with a real depth of blood orange, candy peel, hints of passion fruit and a gentle tannin. It’s an extraordinary wine with a real point of difference, without being too serious about it all. Müller-Thurgau is considered a sparkling, fruity white wine. Not only, but that‘s why it is also suitable for a naughty vinification on the mash. Elated, fleet-footed and refreshing, virtually the ideal entry-level wine into the world of “orange“ wines! This is a great wine for fans of sour beers and wine drinkers looking to get outside of their tasting box!
The Eschenhof Holzer winery is located in Großriedenthal, in the Wagram wine region. Here the innovative wine maker, Arnold Holzer, draws on the unique bounty of nature, with a great deal of creativity, a distinctive style and a sense for delicious creations. The name ”Eschenhof“ comes from the oak trees that stand in front of the farmyard and the old cellar on the winery street. This is where the red wine is stored. For Arnold, the creation of a successful brand, is the art of giving the particular product a distinctive identity. As a determined wine maker, Arnold knows that the success of the business lies within the interplay of creation and organization. It is for this reason that he looks after the work in the vineyard and the wine cellar.
Whether red, white or skin contact wine, it is all about the soil. The loess in this region creates the natural conditions for the rich and delicious natural wine. Thanks to its small granules and high capillary, the loess soil is able to preserve a lot of water for drying times. Partly harvested by machine and partly by hand, fermented in stainless steel for 14-16 days, pressed, 9 month maturing in stainless steel without any sulphites added, just by bottling 20mg sulphites added one time.
