Established in Norwich in 1837 by Richard Bullard and his partner James Watts, Bullards has a long and impressive history spanning six generations! Starting out as a brewery in the heart of the city, the Bullard name quickly became synonymous with outstanding beer and importing the very best wines and spirits from far and wide. You’ll find little pieces of their history being used in the distillery today, from old barrels and branded crates to vintage Bullards posters, along with a nod to the original Anchor Brewery in the emblem of the distillery logo. These days you’ll find Bullards producing award-winning handcrafted gins, loved not only by our customers but by gin fans across the world. If you’ve tried a bottle from their range, you’ll have seen for yourself that Bullards are still very much at the top of their game!
Glass bottles take up a lot of energy to produce, and due to their weight when they are being transported they use a lot of carbon emissions. We’ve been inspired by many of you up cycling our beautiful bottles into useful objects and 100% agree that they are too good to throw away. Every bottle you save and re-use will help us reduce our carbon footprint and save you some money.
Refill
When your bottles run low all you need to do is switch to buying our refill pouches. They come in a package that is letterbox friendly so you don’t need to be at home to receive it. Simply, pour the gin from the pouch into your Bullards bottle at home and then post the empty pouch (no envelope or stamp required) in any royal mail post box and they will be returned to us at the distillery to recycle.
Bullards Old Tom Gin showcases rich honey and mango flavours that lead into notes of pink pepper, black pepper and cassia adding a warming spice. Plenty of fresh grapefruit peel lends the gin a subtle dryness while the honey and vanilla gives a sweet finish.
Once mixed, lemon, grapefruit and honey shine through.
