Nestled high in the Eastern Hills, Rutherford Hill Winery commands a spectacular view overlooking the Rutherford bench of Napa Valley. It is from a handful of the most select Napa vineyards that Rutherford Hill continues its tradition of crafting legendary wines. In 1976, while the rest of the world was just beginning to take notice of Napa Valley, the founders of Rutherford Hill recognised a unique opportunity. They believed that the climate and soil of the valley, similar to Pomerol, were well suited. Today, this tradition of quality continues, expressed by wines of great complexity and character.

Rutherford Hill Barrel Select is crafted with high quality Bordeaux varietals that demonstrate aromas of boysenberry, currant and vanilla with hints of fennel and baking spices. The luxurious structure and multi-layered aromatics of this wine showcase the depth, range and elegance of the vineyards in which this exceptional fruit is sourced. This elegant blended wine is carefully crafted then properly cave aged for 18 months in French oak within one of the most extensive natural cave systems in North America, providing the ideal temperature and humidity throughout the ageing process.

We suggest this wine to be opened prior to serving to breathe. Serve with red meat dishes, will pair superbly with steak! 2016 is also the greatest rated vintage for this wine!
