Story
Roc de Belame Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh and vibrant wine and is actually made by renowned Alsatian wine producer Julian Schaal. To taste, the wine proclaims its richness and with a sweet and fleshy bouquet. The notable characters are stone fruits, like peach apricot which give this wine its juicy and sweet taste. There are also some floral aromatics in the glass. This is in perfect contrast to the texture which gives itself a bit of an uplift and a mineral overtone. The two bind in perfect harmony to create a well-balanced glass of wine and something that is a pleasure to drink. Typical of the grape variety for this region it gives excellent value for money and an easily drinkable wine for both with and without food. The Montagne Noire (Black Mountain) takes its name from a small range of mountains in central southern France to the north of Minervois, which forms a distant backdrop to many Languedoc vineyards, the highest peak reaches 1210m. The region still retains its wild spectacular scenery and unspoilt terrain. This range encompasses two wines, a fresh and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc from the Côtes de Gascogne and a complex and intriguing Syrah from the Pays d’Oc.
