Story
Mussel Bay Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough shows lifted tropical notes of exotic fruits; namely guava, and passionfruit. refreshing, zingy and full of flavour this sauvignon blanc is classic to the style from New Zealand. The taste is one of exotic fruits and is crisp, fruity and fresh with a lively, citrus acidity. A crowd-pleaser, easy-drinking and goes well in a huge variety of situations both with and without food. A blend of the best from the region, Mussel Bay is produced by taking twelve individual parcels of grapes from across both the Wairau Valley and the Awatere Valley. These are individually fermented in a long, slow, cool fermentation over 4 weeks with a yeast strain specific to Sauvignon Blanc to enhance the varietal character. The wines are then blended to the winemakers’ expert knowledge and palate to create the finished palate. Similar to how Sauvignon Blanc is traditionally drunk, Mussel Bay is best drunk without food, although it also is a perfect accompaniment to lighter meals like salads with acidic dressing and meals of white fish. Mussel Bay Sauvignon Blanc joins our Warehouse Wines, where you can find Pull The Cork’s selection of Low-Cost Warehouse Wines. This is where you will find top name brands at discounted prices from artisan producers. Best for Bargains!! There will be a few wines in this category which are not classed as low intervention, these are clearly marked as conventional in the attributes.
