Story
Tradition 2016 is a wine from the family-owned property of Chateau La Tuilerie du Puy. The colour of the wine is a deep red as you would expect from a bottle of Bordeaux. On the nose, we get an expressive aroma with a mix of cherries, Blackberrys and cassis. All very dark and jammy expressions of each of the notable fruits are apparent in this glass of wine. It has a full body to it and the feel of the fruits in which its packing feel abundant on the palate. Wines like this go best with a plate of hearty food and the Tradition 2016 is no different. A rich duck stew, a rich A Sunday lunch or even a cheese platter with ripe, soft cheeses will provide the perfect plethora of foo for this bottle to be the perfect accompaniment. The grapes for Tradition 2016 are picked and sorted in the field. Upon arriving at the winery, They are then put into tanks for 4 to 6 weeks to allow a slow extraction, guaranteeing a perfect expression of the terroir. The wines are then aged for 12 months on lees to express the fruit and finesse. The soils surrounding the Bordeaux chateau are rich in clay and limestone with a rocky basement. this gives a great combination of being able to supply the water and minerals to the vines whilst maintaining good drainage to prevent the loss of flavour concentration in the grapes. Château La Tuilerie du Puy is located five minutes from the medieval town of Monsegur. Overlooking the Dropt Valley, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. It belongs to the Regaud family and has done SINCE 1616. In 1979, Jean-Pierre became manager. The latest generation at Chateau La Tuilerie du Puy took over in 1996 and as you would expect, has a great passion for wine, the same love of travel and still the pioneering spirit that characterises the family.
